Sivada and Irugvai village churches

(Outside the church site at Sivada)

On Sunday 25th April 2010, about 15 members of the church, under the leadership of our dear pastor, Rev. Devaprasad visited the sites of two village churches the mother church is building. The members left the church at around 11 PM, in two vehicles. Along the way the members sang songs and offered chain prayers. The group reached Sivada village around 2: 15 PM. Sivada village is past Thiruvallur, and Irugvai is close to the Andhra Pradesh border (the Google map included gives an indication). The members were served lunch at Sivada. The group reached Irugvai village around 5: 15 PM. After visiting the sites, the members went around the villages sharing the gospel and praying for those villagers who requested them to pray.

Apart from visiting the two sites and sharing the gospel, rice and clothes were distributed to Christian converts at two adjoining villages.

The group returned to the church around 10: 30 PM. The hand of our Lord was with the group throughout the time.

(Note: The built-in flash of the camera did not work throughout the day after a drop of tender coconut water fell on it. Distribution of rice and clothes to the villagers was not covered due to this mishap - Peter J. Asirvatham)
